🌺Orchid (a 3D model, not illustration!)
Orchid is a personal project to learn and practice softwares that I don't use with expertise, creating something that mix my own drawing style with my 3D modeling style, and inspired by a beautiful orchid that had at home and Florence and the Machine music.
✏️ I started doing a fast #Zbrush sculpt, them I did the retopo of some pieces like hair in #Maya, handpainted texture in #SubstancePainter and finally I did this "charcoal" shader, lighting, Grease Pencil details and renders in #Blender.
To create this shader, I user as reference the amazing work by www.artstation.com/kaimuri. Studing his "Watercolor Effect and Line Art" breakdown and resources I learned a lot and I created my own shader trying to emulate charcoal pencil. (Thank you for share us your knowledge and beautiful art! it was really helpful 🙏🩵).
And as always, many thanks www.artstation.com/javierduran because he's my 3D magician, and explain me many things about nodes, shaders and timelines. Blender it's still quite tricky to me.
